As his name suggests, Swampy was born in the Louisiana swamps. His grandmother was a nymph who gave up her immortality in order to have a child. She is buried in the mound near the stilt house Swampy lives in. Swampy hunts gator, raises pigs, and prefers the company of his dog Boo over most human folk. He doesn’t mind the company of nymphs, especially Nymeria. However, the fairies and goblins annoy him.
